HEALTH CARE INTERPRETING
We follow the Code of Ethics and National Standards of Practice of the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC), and adhere to the standards of the Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH). In addition, we follow the interpreter’s certification system have memberships with the Missouri Association for the Deaf (MoAD), the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA), and the American Translator Association (ATA).
We believe in the highest standards for medical interpreting. All of our interpreters are qualified or certified to make your voice heard. As such, interpreter compliance information is available at request.
Through the Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP), we are a licensed provider of the nationally recognized Bridging the Gap (BTG) and Cultural Competency interpreter training programs.
For deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in need of medical interpreting, we can provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters. All of our ASL interpreters are licensed by The State Committee of Interpreters (SCI) and certified by the Board for Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) at the advanced or master levels. For Illinois residents, we also have interpreters licensed by the State of Illinois Deaf & Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC), certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
