The Measure of Academic Progress exam (MAP test) is given three to four times a year to all students in kindergarten through 5th grade in the state of Missouri. As the student answers questions correctly the questions increase in difficulty, allowing instructors to have a full understanding of what topics and concepts need to be retaught or emphasized in the classroom. Students who speak a language other than English and students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing are provided interpreters during these exams to ensure they fully understand the instructions and the exam.
