Government

For the past four years, we have supported the efforts of government agencies in equal language access to the LEP populations by making more than 200 + in-person interpreters available that speak more than 45 + languages throughout the Missouri area.

Our services include:

  • Probation and parole
  • Jail
  • First steps
  • Vocational rehab

“Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. 2000d, et seq. and its implementing regulations provide that no person shall be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin under any program or activity that receives federal financial assistance. Language for LEP individuals can be a barrier to accessing important benefits or services, understanding and exercising important rights, complying with applicable responsibilities, or understanding other information provided by federally funded programs and activities.”

Our team of translators has helped Government agencies to translate a variety of documents in more than 20 different languages. Our translators are qualified and certified in the medical and legal fields making LAMP a full compliance agency.

LAMP offers mandatory and voluntary training to its interpreters. Interpreter Continuing Education Trainings are available year-round and are free of charge.
