THE 3RD ANNUAL ST. LOUIS WALK AND MENTAL HEALTH EXPO
Saturday, August 14th at Tower Grove Park
About Us:
The Walk for Depression St. Louis chapter is proudly sponsored by the Family Mental Health Collaborative. The FMHC is composed of BJC Behavioral Health, Catholic Family Services, Jewish Family and Children's Services, Lutheran Family and Children's Services, and Provident.
The Walk for Depression is unique in that you the Walker determines what local 501c3 mental health program receives your pledges. The Walk is a day to celebrate recovery from our disease of Depression. We join with others who want to increase public awareness about hope, health and recovery from mental illness. By joining with others on Saturday, August 14th, we know we will not be alone anymore.
Mission Statemet:
The Walk for Depression is a community based event to raise awareness and funding for local non-profit agencies and programs that provide depression and mental health services.
Vision Statement:
For those struggling under the weight of depression or a mental illness, past failures, or harmful relationships, everyday living can feel like a death sentence. The physical, mental and emotional suffering steals the heart out of life and if left untreated, will ultimately destroy them. There is help and there is hope, but you can only find this by reaching outside of yourelf. The Walk for Depression is a celebration of the hope of life after mentall illness and a call to action by people in our community.
